Easton Z-Core Hybrid XL 2-5/8" BBCOR Bat -3oz (2016)
MAD MAX says:
Easton has three series in 2015 in BBCOR. This bat belongs in the Z-CORE Hybrid series. This means that the bat will be two pieces. It will have an alloy barrel with a composite handle. In recent years a lot of kids prefer the feel of an alloy barrel bat in their hands. Z-CORE is technology that we saw last year. The Z-Core technology will put a Mako like the barrel on this bat. It will have an extended sweet spot and more power through the zone. Easton also took this bat to the next level. This model is the XL Z-CORE Hybrid. This bad is a beast and needs a beast to back it up. Think of bats with a bit more weight toward the barrel and that is what you get with this bat. It would be very similar to the Demarini Voodoo bat. The XL will have a larger barrel, but with the larger barrel, there will be some end-weight. I would not recommend this bat for a seventh- or eighth-grader. It is a bat for a junior or senior in high school. It will of course, by a drop 3, which is a simple math equation where you take inches and subtract it from ounces. If a bat is 33 inches it will be 30 ounces. If you go up in inches you will also go up in ounces. Great bat, great PO. A man's bat for sure.

The BBCOR formula provides a better measure of the bat's performance and therefore allows the rules committee and bat testing laboratories to better predict field performance based on lab tests. The goal is that non-wood bats that meet this new standard will perform similarly to wood bats. All BBCOR bats will incorporate a logo mark once certification approval is granted. This mark will be consistent across every approved bat design so umpires will easily identify approved bats.
At Closeout Bats we stock what we sell! We have a huge warehouse and are NOT drop shipping bats like many web sites. We update inventory and availability on the Web site several times a day as inventory positions change shipping hundreds and hundeds of bats. We also sell bats out of our physical store, so sometimes things sell out before we can get them off the Web site.
Limited quantities available. Prices subject to change without notice. Like we say, if it's on the site, it's in the warehouse -- just SOMETIMES it might have some other player's name on it! If you snooze, you lose, so ORDER YOURS NOW!
